Feeding and Oral Motor Programme

Early intervention can change a child’s developmental path and improve quality of life for children and families. This Christmas programme includes therapeutic intervention from occupational therapists, speech therapists and special needs teachers to address your child’s feeding, sensory and oral motor needs. This programme includes:

 

  • – Fun group activities focusing on sensory play
  •  
  • – Structured activities such as group feeding
  •  
  • – Oral motor activities such as range, strength, variety and control of movements for the lips, cheeks, jaw and tongue.
  •  
  • – Therapy, focusing on your child’s individual learning needs.
  •  
  • – Exploration of new varieties of food
  •  
  • – Developing pre-requisite skills such as postural stability

 

This programme follows the SOS Approach to Feeding and Beckman Oral Motor approach. These models are research-based approaches with a multidisciplinary framework, addressing the core challenges faced by children with additional needs.
