Youth Club

Youth club is a place where adolescents (10-19 years) with additional needs can meet on a weekly basis and participate in a variety of interesting activities, for example, board games, cooking, arts and crafts, social outings, dancing, movies, hiking, etc. It is organized by our occupational therapist, speech therapist and/or special needs teacher.

The aim is to help young people with additional needs get out and about and make new friends. We, at the Children’s Centre (TCC), know how important it is to provide opportunities for young people in an environment suitable to their needs.

It is advised parents with children requiring additional level of care should speak to the staff at the TCC before joining the group to assure that suitable adaptations are made and that sufficient support is provided.

We want to try to keep the number of people small in this group as the environment can quickly become overwhelming especially for those who may have sensory processing challenges.
